1) Can I spray Minerallac 37506 contact cleaner on live equipment?
No. The 37506 environmental contact cleaner is for nonenergized equipment. De-energize and lock out the panel, board, or machine before spraying, then let it flash off before you restore power. It's a quick-drying formula, so the wait is short.
2) Will this contact cleaner damage plastic housings or connector bodies?
Minerallac's environmental contact cleaner is safe on most plastics, which is why it gets used on office machines, computers, and printed circuits where the housings and connector bodies are plastic. Most is not all, so on an unfamiliar or painted plastic, hit a hidden spot first.
3) We're phasing out CFC solvents in our shop. Does this qualify as a replacement?
