Metallics SCT6215C – Frequently Asked Questions
1) Are Metallics SCT6215C staples metal or plastic?
Plastic. The SCT6215C is a plastic stacking staple, so the body that contacts the cable is non-metallic.
2) What is a 2-wire stacking staple used for?
A stacking staple like the SCT6215C secures cable to wood framing and lets you run a second cable in the same staple position, stacking runs instead of driving a separate staple beside each one. This one is sized for 2-wire cable.
3) Are Metallics SCT6215C staples made in the USA and Buy American compliant?
Country of origin is the United States, and the SCT6215C is flagged both Buy American compliant and ARRA compliant. That matters on federally funded work where domestic sourcing is written into the contract.
4) How many staples come in a jar of Metallics SCT6215C?
The SCT6215C ships as a jar of 100 stacking staples, and 100 count is also the order minimum. The filled jar weighs 0.87 lbs.
5) Can I get Metallics stacking staples in a different size or quantity than the SCT6215C jar of 100?
Other sizes and quantities of these stacking staples are available by request. The SCT6215C itself is the single model, sold as the 2-wire plastic staple in a 100 count jar.
6) How much shelf or van space does a jar of SCT6215C staples take?
The jar measures 3.5 x 3.5 x 5.75 inches and weighs 0.87 lbs, so it stands on a shelf or in a van bin without taking a full tote.
