The bracket is part of the box. The 82181-1234-CV ships as a bracketed 5-square, so it nails or screws directly to the stud face without a separate box hanger or bar hanger. That is what makes it a new-construction rough-in box rather than an old-work box.
2) What size knockouts are in the Steel City 82181-1234-CV box?

4) Can I use a 5-square box for a multi-gang device instead of a 4-square?
That is one of the main reasons to go to the 5 x 5 size. At 64 cubic inches it carries far more fill than a 4-square, so you can gang devices and still have room for the splices and the grounds. The tradeoff is the 2-7/8 inch depth and the larger face: you need the wall cavity to accept it and you need a cover or plaster ring sized for a 5-square, not a 4-square. If the opening is tight or the count is light, a standard square box is the easier install.
5) Am I buying one box or a case?
