That is what the raintight compression design is for. Unlike a setscrew fitting, the compression nut and ring seal around the tubing wall, so the connection holds up in outdoor and wet locations. Note the seal is at the tubing; the box side still needs the appropriate raintight or gasketed hub arrangement at the enclosure per your installation.
3) Will these fit rigid conduit or flexible metal conduit?
No. These are compression connectors made for electrical metallic tubing (EMT) only. Rigid and IMC use threaded fittings, and FMC or liquidtight flex needs its own connector style. Matching the fitting to the raceway type matters here, because EMT compression rings will not seal or grip on threaded rigid.
4) Are these EMT compression connectors insulated throat?
The 1/2 inch version (TC111AN-RT) is non-insulated. If your spec or local inspector calls for an insulated throat on the conductors, you will want an insulated-throat connector instead, or add a bushing at the connector.
5) Should I use a compression connector or a setscrew connector for my EMT run?
Setscrew fittings are the cheaper choice for dry indoor work. Use a raintight compression connector like these when the run is outdoors, in a damp or wet location, or wherever the job spec calls for raintight fittings. Many commercial specs require compression throughout so there is one fitting type on the job.
