    1) Which STI Damage Stopper spacer do I need for a double-gang outlet box?
    Spacer B is the double-gang outlet box version. The five spacers each solve a different mounting condition: A for a 4 inch enclosed back box, B for a double-gang outlet box, C with external tabs, D with a conduit knockout, and E as an open back box flush-mount frame. Pick the spacer by how the appliance is already mounted in the wall, then match the cover style (horn/strobe or strobe only) to the device.
    2) How deep does an STI horn/strobe cover stand off the wall?
    Depth depends on the spacer. All the horn/strobe covers are 8.5 in. high by 6.5 in. wide, and depth runs 3.5 in. on the B, 4 in. on the E, 4.75 in. on the C, 5.75 in. on the D, and 6.25 in. on the A. The strobe-only covers use the same footprint and the same depth spread. If projection into a corridor is a concern for clearance, the B spacer is the shallowest of the group.
    3) Can an STI Damage Stopper cover be used outdoors or in a parking garage?
    Yes. The polycarbonate is UV stabilized and rated from -40 F to 250 F (-40 C to 121 C), so it holds up outdoors and in unconditioned space. If you are mounting one of those four to a surface that needs a solid backing rather than an open back, add the backplate to the order.
    8) Should I use a Damage Stopper cover or replace the horn/strobe with a heavier-duty appliance?
