Sure-Loc VT-PH2 26 – Frequently Asked Questions

1) Is this Sure-Loc paper holder rated for a commercial restroom or is it residential only?
Residential. The Ventura two-post holder is built for bath and washroom use in homes, apartments, and rental units, not for the traffic of a public or commercial restroom. If you are outfitting a commercial washroom, buy a commercial-grade holder instead; if you are turning apartment units or a vacation rental, this is the right class of product.
2) What is the closest two-post alternative to the Sure-Loc Ventura two-post paper holder?
The Deltana 98C2001 is a Classic double post toilet paper holder in solid brass from the 98C Series, so it carries the same dual-post roll support as the Sure-Loc Ventura Series two-post paper holder. The Ventura holder is a residential bath accessory offered in Polished Chrome, Satin Nickel, Vintage Bronze, Satin Brass, and Flat Black, while the Deltana is a solid brass 98C Series piece, so the decision usually comes down to which collection the rest of the bathroom hardware belongs to.
3) I want a paper holder with a single post instead of two posts - what are my options?
For a single-post pivot-style holder, the Deltana 55D2001 (55D Series, solid brass) and the Deltana BBN2001 (BBN Series) are both single post toilet paper holders. Single-post designs let the roll load from one open end, while the Sure-Loc Ventura Series holder uses a two-post design with dual-post support on both ends of the roll.
4) What is the difference between a two-post paper holder and a bar-style one?
A two-post holder, like the Ventura, mounts two separate posts and the roll spins on a spindle that drops between them, so the roll is captured on both ends. A bar style, such as the Emtek Modern Brass Paper Holder - Bar Style, uses a single continuous bar. Two-post units are the traditional look and hold the roll more positively; bar styles are a cleaner modern line. Single-post pivot holders like the Deltana 55D2001 anchor at one end only and let you change the roll without pulling a spindle.
5) I want the paper holder to match my towel bars. Does Sure-Loc make a matching set?
Yes, the two-post holder is part of the Sure-Loc Ventura bath hardware collection, so the towel bars, rings, and other Ventura accessories carry the same styling and the same finish codes. Order everything in one code (26, 15, 11P, SB, or FBL) and the bathroom reads as one set.
6) What else could I buy if I want a solid brass double post toilet paper holder?
The Deltana 98C2001, from the 98C Series, is a classic double post holder in solid brass and is the closest cross-brand equivalent in configuration. Deltana also lists the 88DTPH in the 88 Series in solid brass. The Sure-Loc Ventura is the two-post option within a coordinated residential bath collection, which matters if you are also buying matching towel bars.
7) Is there a paper holder that uses a roller tube rather than posts?
Yes. The Orca Hardware 2752 (27-Cypress Series) and the Orca Hardware 4852 Blakely (48-Blakely Series) are both toilet paper holders supplied with a plastic tube, so the roll rides on a spring tube between the brackets. The Sure-Loc Ventura Series holder instead uses a two-post design that supports the roll directly.
8) What paper holder should I use for a modern or contemporary bathroom instead of the Ventura?
For a contemporary look, the Emtek Modern Brass Paper Holder - Bar Style (Modern Brass Bath Hardware) and the Emtek Transitional Brass Paper Holder - Bar Style (Transitional Bath Hardware) are bar-style holders, and the Orca Hardware 3655 Swirl Euro (36-Swirl Series) and 5255 Ripple Euro (52-Ripple Series) are Euro-style holders. The Sure-Loc Ventura Series two-post holder is part of the Ventura bath hardware collection and coordinates with other Ventura accessories such as towel bars.
9) I need a bronze paper holder to match rustic hardware - is the Vintage Bronze Ventura the only choice?
No. The Sure-Loc Ventura Series two-post paper holder is offered in Vintage Bronze (Code 11P), and the Emtek Sandcast Bronze Paper Holder - Bar Style from the Sandcast Bronze Bath Hardware collection is a bar-style bronze alternative. The Ventura uses a two-post design and is meant to coordinate with the rest of the Ventura bath collection, so pick based on which family your towel bars come from.
10) Does this Sure-Loc paper holder need any power or wiring?
No. It is a straight mechanical unit with no electrical components, so it mounts to the wall with hardware only and there is nothing to service or power.
11) For a rental turnover, should I use a two-post holder or one with a plastic tube spindle?
Both work; the tradeoff is what gets lost. The Ventura two-post uses a spindle between the posts, which is the traditional arrangement and matches the rest of the Ventura bath line. Orca Hardware's 2752 (Cypress) and 4852 (Blakely) use a plastic tube spindle, a common and easily replaced part. If you are standardizing several units and also hanging matching towel bars, staying in one Sure-Loc finish code across the bathroom is the simpler spec.
12) For a multi-family unit turn, is a bar-style Emtek holder a direct swap for the Ventura two-post?
Not a direct swap. The Emtek Traditional Brass Paper Holder - Bar Style and the other Emtek bar-style holders mount as a bar between two posts, while the Sure-Loc Ventura Series holder is a two-post design in the Ventura collection, so the mounting footprint and the look differ. If you are standardizing units on Ventura towel bars and hooks, staying in the Ventura collection keeps the finished appearance matched across the bathroom.
