That is what it is built for. The MX3300 is a while-in-use cover with a 3.49 in deep profile, so the lid shuts over an energized plug and cord set and keeps the receptacle weatherproof while it stays connected. Shallow flip-lid covers only protect the outlet when nothing is plugged in; this one does not.
2) Does the MX3300 mount horizontally or vertically on the box?
Horizontal only. The MX3300 is built for a 1-gang box set in the horizontal orientation. If your box is oriented vertically, you need the vertical version of the cover, not this one.
3) What size box does the TayMac MX3300 in-use cover fit?
