Metallics JRWH25100 – Frequently Asked Questions
1) What is the Metallics JRWH25100 used for?
It is a 1/4 x 1 wood hanger-mount anchor for threaded rod. You drive it into wood structure (joist, blocking, nailer) and it gives you a 1/4 inch threaded take-off point to hang rod from, which is how conduit, strut, boxes and other electrical supports get suspended off a wood frame.
2) Will this wood anchor work in concrete or steel deck?
No. The JRWH25100 is a wood hanger-mount anchor, so it only holds in wood members. For concrete you need a drop-in or wedge-type rod anchor, and for steel deck or bar joist you want a beam clamp or deck hanger sized for 1/4 inch rod.
3) How many anchors come in a jar of Metallics JRWH25100?
25 per jar. That is the selling unit, so a job needing 100 hanger points takes four jars. The jar pack is handy on a service truck since the anchors stay contained rather than loose in a pouch.
4) What exact part number do I order for the Metallics 1/4 inch wood rod hanger anchor?
Metallics part number JRWH25100, the 1/4 x 1 wood hanger-mount threaded rod anchor supplied 25 to a jar.
