TOTO THU3012 – Frequently Asked Questions
1) Will the TOTO THU3012 washer work on 1-1/2 inch tubular drain piping?
Yes. The THU3012 is sized for 1-1/2 inch tubular connections, which is the standard size for lavatory and tubular drain slip joints. It will not fit 1-1/4 inch tubular piping, so match the size of the tailpiece or trap arm before ordering.
2) What is TOTO part THU3012?
THU3012 is a TOTO 1-1/2 inch flanged tubular washer, a fastener-type replacement part for tubular drain and trap connections. It is sold under MPN THU3012.
3) Do I need the flanged washer if my TOTO trap already has a slip nut?
The slip nut compresses the washer; the washer is what actually seals the joint. If the existing flanged washer is deformed, hardened, or leaking, replace it with the THU3012 rather than over-tightening the nut. The nut itself is a separate part.
4) Is TOTO THU3012 a single washer or a kit?
THU3012 is the flanged washer part itself, ordered by that MPN. It does not include the trap, tailpiece, or slip nuts; those are ordered separately.
5) Can maintenance stock the THU3012 as a standard repair part across multiple TOTO lavatories?
Yes, it is a common consumable for 1-1/2 inch tubular joints, so a property or facility running TOTO fixtures can stock it as a standard slip-joint repair item. Confirm each fixture's drain is 1-1/2 inch rather than 1-1/4 inch before standardizing.
