TOTO 1FU4145#CP – Frequently Asked Questions
1) What exactly is TOTO part 1FU4145#CP?
It is the escutcheon (cover plate) and screw set for the TOTO Lloyd shower valve trim. The escutcheon is the plate that covers the wall opening behind the handle, and the kit includes the mounting screws with it. It is a replacement trim part, not a valve or a complete trim kit, so it does not include the handle or cartridge.
2) My Lloyd shower escutcheon is pitted and the screws are stripped. Can I replace just the plate?
Yes. The 1FU4145#CP set replaces the Lloyd shower cover plate and supplies new screws, so a corroded or scratched plate and chewed-up fasteners can be swapped without touching the valve body in the wall. Shut the water off, pull the handle and trim, and the plate comes off the wall.
3) Will the TOTO 1FU4145#CP cover plate fit any TOTO shower valve?
No. This escutcheon is cut for the TOTO Lloyd shower trim specifically. TOTO's other trim families (Vivian, Silas, Connelly and so on) use their own plate shapes and screw spacing, so a Lloyd plate will not line up on them. Confirm your trim is Lloyd before ordering.
4) Does the TOTO Lloyd escutcheon set 1FU4145#CP come in finishes other than polished chrome?
The set is sold in one configuration, the #CP polished chrome version, ordered as 1FU4145#CP. TOTO's #CP suffix denotes polished chrome. If your Lloyd trim is brushed nickel or another finish, this plate will not match it.
5) Is anything else needed to finish the job besides the 1FU4145#CP plate?
For a straight plate swap, nothing else. The screws come with the escutcheon. You will reuse the existing handle, sleeve and cartridge. Plan on fresh sealant at the wall line if the old plate was caulked in, and if the cartridge is also leaking that is a separate TOTO part.
6) Can a property manager stock this as a standard maintenance part for TOTO Lloyd showers?
Yes, that is the typical use. Shower escutcheons take abuse from cleaners and hard water, and 1FU4145#CP lets maintenance restore the finished look of a Lloyd shower without opening the wall or replacing the valve. Keeping a few on the shelf makes sense in a building standardized on Lloyd trim in polished chrome.
