TOTO THP4746 – Frequently Asked Questions
1) What exactly is TOTO part THP4746?
THP4746 is a single fastener, not a complete trim assembly. It is an M4 x 55 mm stainless steel pan head screw used as a shower face plate mounting screw. If you need the plate itself, order the plate part separately; this number gets you the screw only.
2) My TOTO shower face plate screw is stripped or rusted out, is this the right replacement?
If the stripped screw holding your TOTO shower face plate measures M4 x 55 mm with a pan head, THP4746 is the direct replacement. Measure the old one before ordering: a shorter M4 screw out of a different TOTO trim will not reach, and a longer one will bottom out before the plate seats flat to the wall.
3) Is the THP4746 screw stainless steel for a wet shower wall?
Yes, it is stainless (SUS), which is why TOTO specifies it for a shower face plate where the fastener sits in a wet wall and gets splashed every use. A plated steel screw in that position streaks and rusts at the plate edge.
4) How many screws come with TOTO THP4746?
THP4746 is ordered as a screw part number, so plan quantity by how many fasteners the plate needs. A face plate commonly takes two, so if you are rebuilding one shower, order to match the count coming out of the wall rather than assuming a pair ships per part number.
