TOTO TET2LA31#SS – Frequently Asked Questions
1) Is TOTO TET2LA31#SS a complete toilet or just the flush valve?
It is a flush valve, not a fixture. The TET2LA31#SS is TOTO's concealed electronic flush valve for a toilet, so you are buying the valve and its concealed body only. The bowl, carrier, and any wall covering are separate purchases.
2) What does concealed mean on the TOTO TET2LA31 flush valve, and what does that mean for the install?
Concealed means the valve body is mounted inside the wall cavity behind the finished surface, with only the sensor plate showing. That takes a chase or a framed-out wall behind the fixture and access for service, so it is a rough-in decision, not a swap you make after the wall is closed. If the wall is already finished and you need a fast retrofit, an exposed flushometer is the easier route.
3) Is the TOTO TET2LA31#SS for a toilet or a urinal?
Toilet. It is catalogued for toilet use, so do not order it for a urinal fixture, the flush volume and valve sizing are different between the two.
4) What part number do I give my plumbing supplier for the TOTO concealed EcoPower toilet flush valve in stainless?
Order it as TOTO TET2LA31#SS. The #SS suffix is the finish code on the exposed sensor plate; the number before it identifies the concealed valve itself.
5) Is there more than one finish or trim option for the TET2LA31 concealed flush valve?
One configuration, TET2LA31#SS. There is no second finish or handing choice to specify, so the only ordering decisions left to you are the carrier, the bowl, and the rough-in.
