TOTO TET3GBI432#SS – Frequently Asked Questions
1) Is the TOTO TET3GBI432#SS flush valve for a toilet or a urinal?
Toilet. The TET3GBI432#SS is a concealed electronic flush valve set up for water closet service at 1.6 gallons per flush, so it is not the part to order for a urinal, which runs a much lower flush volume.
2) Does the TOTO TET3GBI432#SS mount on the wall surface or behind it?
Behind it. This is a concealed flush valve, so the valve body sits inside the wall or a chase and only the trim and sensor show on the finished face. If the opening does not have a wall cavity or access panel for the valve body, an exposed flushometer is the right choice instead.
3) What is the flush volume on the TOTO TET3GBI432#SS, and will it meet a 1.6 gpf fixture spec?
It flushes at 1.6 gallons, which is the standard water closet volume most commercial toilet bowls are designed around. If your drawing calls for a 1.28 gpf high-efficiency closet, this valve over-delivers for that fixture and you want the HET version instead.
4) Is the TOTO TET3GBI432#SS a sensor flush valve or a manual handle?
Electronic. It is an IOT EFV (electronic flush valve), meaning the flush is triggered by sensor rather than a lever, which is what facilities buyers in healthcare, education, and high-traffic public restrooms typically standardize on to cut hand contact with the fixture.
5) What TOTO part number do I give my supplier for this concealed electronic toilet flush valve?
Order it as TOTO TET3GBI432#SS. The #SS suffix is TOTO's finish code carried on the part number, so quote the full string including the suffix to avoid getting a different trim finish shipped.
