TOTO TET1UBX32#CP – Frequently Asked Questions
1) Is the TOTO TET1UBX32#CP flush valve for a toilet or a urinal?
Toilets only. The TET1UBX32#CP is an exposed electronic flush valve set up for water closet use at 1.0 gallon per flush, which is a toilet flush volume. Urinals run far lower volumes and take a urinal-specific valve, so don't substitute this one on a urinal fixture.
2) Does the TOTO TET1UBX32#CP mount exposed on the wall or behind it?
Exposed. The valve body mounts on the finished wall above the bowl rather than being concealed in the chase, so it suits retrofits into existing flushometer-style installations where there is no access panel. If your spec calls for a concealed valve with only a sensor plate showing, this is the wrong configuration.
3) Will a 1.0 gpf flush valve work with my existing commercial toilet bowl?
It depends on the bowl's rated flush volume. The TET1UBX32#CP delivers 1.0 gallon per flush, so it belongs on a bowl engineered for 1.0 gpf or on one rated for a range that includes it. Pairing a 1.0 gpf valve with an older 1.6 gpf or 3.5 gpf bowl typically means poor bowl clearance and drainline carry, so match the bowl rating before ordering.
4) Is the TET1UBX32#CP a sensor flush valve or a manual handle?
It is an electronic, sensor-operated valve from TOTO's IoT EFV line, not a lever-handle flushometer. For a hands-free restroom retrofit that is the point of it; if you need a manual flush, you want a conventional handle-operated flushometer instead.
5) What finish does the TOTO TET1UBX32#CP come in?
Polished chrome, which is what the #CP suffix on the TOTO part number designates. It is the one configuration offered under this model number, so for a facility standardizing restroom trim across multiple stalls the exposed valves will all match in chrome.
