TOTO THU3048#CP – Frequently Asked Questions
1) Does the THU3048 nozzle change the flow rate on my TOTO faucet?
The aerator in this nozzle assembly is a 0.5 unit, so the outlet is metered at the low-flow end. If your faucet currently runs a higher-flow aerator, swapping to THU3048#CP will reduce the flow you feel at the spout. That's the right part for keeping a low-flow lavatory faucet performing as built, and the wrong part if you were trying to increase flow.
2) What is the TOTO THU3048 nozzle assembly used for?
THU3048#CP is a TOTO faucet nozzle assembly with a 0.5 aerator built in. It's the spray wand style outlet piece on the faucet, so you order it when the original nozzle is damaged, clogged, or the finish has gone. The #CP suffix is the polished chrome version.
3) I manage a building with TOTO lavatory faucets. Can I stock one nozzle for all of them?
Not safely. TOTO publishes nozzle assemblies by faucet series, and THU3048#CP is one specific assembly. Match the THU number to the faucet model you're servicing rather than assuming one nozzle covers a fleet of mixed TOTO spouts. Where the buildings do run the same faucet model, this is a sensible repair item to keep on the shelf, since a clogged or scaled aerator is the most common call on a lavatory faucet.
4) Do I need any other parts to install the THU3048 nozzle assembly?
No. The aerator comes as part of the nozzle assembly rather than as a loose screen you have to source separately, so the 0.5 aerator and nozzle go on as one piece. It's a hand-service item on the faucet outlet, not a job that opens the deck or the supplies.
5) Is the TOTO THU3048 nozzle a chrome finish?
Yes, polished chrome. TOTO uses the #CP suffix on the model number for polished chrome, and THU3048#CP is the only configuration of this nozzle assembly offered. If your other lavatory trim is brushed nickel or matte black, this won't match.
