TOTO THP4599#CP – Frequently Asked Questions
1) What does the Toto THP4599 part include, and what valve is it for?
THP4599 is a set of two O-rings for the Toto Aimes single-handle volume control assembly. You get the pair of seals only, not the cartridge or the trim, so it is the part you order when the volume control is weeping around the stem rather than failing to shut off.
2) Will the THP4599 O-rings fix a Toto Aimes volume control that won't shut the water off?
Probably not. These two O-rings seal the volume control assembly against leakage past the stem and body. If the handle turns but water keeps running, the failure is in the volume control cartridge itself, and replacing the seals alone won't cure it. Order the O-rings for drips and seepage at the trim; order the volume control cartridge for a valve that won't close.
3) Does the #CP suffix on Toto THP4599 matter for a hidden O-ring?
The #CP suffix is Toto's polished chrome finish code, and it is how the part is catalogued and ordered even though the O-rings themselves sit inside the valve body where finish is irrelevant. Order THP4599#CP by that full number, including the suffix, or the order can come back as an unmatched part.
4) I'm a property manager with several Toto Aimes showers. Is it worth stocking THP4599 on the shelf?
For a building with multiple Aimes volume control showers, yes. The kit is two O-rings for the volume control assembly, it is cheap to hold, and a seeping volume control is one of the more common service calls on a pressure-balance or thermostatic Toto trim. Keeping a pair per opening means the tech can reseal on the first visit instead of ordering after teardown.
