TOTO THP4015#BN – Frequently Asked Questions
1) What thread size is the TOTO THP4015 set screw?
The TOTO THP4015 set screw is an M5 x 0.8 mm pitch hex head screw. M5 x P0.8 is the standard coarse metric pitch for a 5 mm screw, so a 5 mm hex-head replacement of the same length will thread the same way. Order it by part number THP4015#BN to get the brushed nickel version.
2) What does the THP4015#BN set screw actually hold in place?
It's the small hex-head screw that secures a TOTO faucet or valve handle to its stem, with the escutcheon and handle trim as the assembly it belongs to. If a handle has gone loose or spins on the stem, this screw is usually the part that has stripped or backed out.
3) Is the THP4015 set screw available in a finish other than brushed nickel?
Brushed nickel is the finish offered, supplied as THP4015#BN. TOTO uses the #BN suffix for brushed nickel, so if your handle trim is chrome or polished brass the screw head will not match visually, though it will still thread the same.
4) Will a standard Allen key drive this TOTO handle set screw?
Yes. THP4015 is a hex-socket set screw, so it drives with a metric Allen wrench, not a screwdriver. Keep the handle supported while you back it out so the stem doesn't take the load.
