TOTO SN922M#01 – Frequently Asked Questions

1) Does the TOTO WASHLET G450 SN922M come complete, or do I need another part to install it?
The SN922M is the top unit only. It requires the CT922CUMFG bottom unit to make a complete toilet, so order both or you will have a washlet with nothing to sit on. What ships with the top unit is the remote with batteries plus mounting and connection hardware.
2) Does the G450 washlet need an electrical outlet in the bathroom?
Yes. The G450 runs on 120 volts and needs a receptacle within reach of the unit. It's not a battery-powered fixture, the alkaline batteries included are for the remote control. Heated seat, instantaneous water heating, warm air dryer, auto open/close lid and AutoFlush all depend on that 120V supply, so on a remodel where there's no outlet near the toilet, budget for an electrician before the plumber shows up.
3) What kind of rough-in does the TOTO G450 integrated toilet need, floor or wall drain?
Floor mount with a floor outlet, so it sets over a standard closet flange in the slab or floor. It is not a wall-hung or rear-outlet fixture, if the drain leaves the back of the wall this is the wrong unit.
4) Is the TOTO G450 ADA compliant for a commercial or multi-family restroom?
Yes, it's ADA compliant and built at ADA height, which puts the seat at a more comfortable position for a wide range of users. For property managers doing accessible units or an institutional buyer spec'ing restrooms, the ADA height is a property of the fixture itself, no special seat or riser needed on top.
5) Does the TOTO G450 meet WaterSense and California water efficiency requirements?
The flushing system carries WaterSense and meets CALGreen and CEC standards and guidelines. That's the combination a California job or a green-building spec asks for, and it's usually what qualifies a fixture for a utility rebate program.
6) Is the TOTO G450 washlet elongated or round bowl?
Elongated. That matters for clearance in a tight powder room or a compartment stall, an elongated bowl projects further off the wall than a round front, and the G450 is not offered in a round shape.
7) Is there a manual flush handle on the TOTO G450, or is it sensor only?
Flushing is automatic, there's no trip lever on the tank. AutoFlush senses when the user departs and the multifunctional remote also drives the flush along with the 5 spray settings, dryer and seat functions. For a hospitality or healthcare install that's the hands free operation you want; if your facility standard requires a mechanical lever, this isn't the fixture.
8) Does the G450 need a separate toilet seat or bidet seat ordered with it?
No separate seat. The G450 is an integrated washlet, the bidet seat with heated seat, oscillating front and rear warm water cleansing, warm air dryer and deodorizer is the top unit itself. Pair it with the CT922CUMFG bottom unit and the fixture is complete, no aftermarket seat, no separate bidet.
9) How much does the G450 washlet top unit weigh and how big is it for planning the install?
The top unit is 18 pounds and measures 27.25 x 15.1875 x 5.1875 inches. One person can set it, but check the carton footprint against a narrow stairwell or a service elevator on a multi-unit rollout, and remember the bottom unit ships separately and adds its own weight.
10) What finish does the TOTO WASHLET G450 SN922M come in?
Cotton White, which is TOTO's #01 finish code and the shade that matches the rest of a Cotton White fixture group in a building. The SN922M is built in that one color and elongated shape only, so a facility standardizing on Cotton White lavatories and urinals will match without cross-checking a chart.
