That is the only thickness it is built for. The DRX-07 mortise deadbolt is specified for 1-3/4 inch doors, which is the standard commercial door thickness, so it drops onto typical hollow metal and solid core commercial openings. On a 1-3/8 inch older interior door it is the wrong part. Backset is 2-3/4 inches, and it is non-handed, so you do not specify left or right hand when ordering.
2) What size mortise pocket and strike prep does the TownSteel DRX-07 deadbolt need?
The DRX-07 uses a 1-1/4 x 4-5/8 inch face plate and a 1-1/8 x 3-1/2 inch standard strike.
