Klein Tools 60132 - SEASONAL ITEM ONLY – Frequently Asked Questions

1) Can the Klein Tools 60132 balaclava be worn as just a neck gaiter, or is it full-face only?
Both. The Tradesman Pro balaclava uses a hinged design, so the face and head portion folds away and it wears as a neck gaiter when the wind drops. Full coverage is head, neck and mouth.
2) Will one Klein 60132 balaclava fit different crew members, or do I have to order by size?
There's one size only, listed as One Size Fits Most, so a crew order is just a quantity count. Stretch comes from the fabric blend, 91% polyester, 5% thermoplastic polyurethane and 4% spandex, and it's a one-piece fleece rather than a panel-sized garment.
3) Will the Klein balaclava fit under a hard hat without bunching?
It's built from stretchable one-piece fleece in 3-panel construction with flat lock seams, so there are no raised seam ridges to press against a hard hat suspension or irritate skin. Laid flat it measures 17.5 x 15.5 x 0.25 inches, and the whole thing weighs 2.6 oz, so it's a thin layer rather than bulky padding.
4) Is the Klein Tradesman Pro balaclava windproof at the mouth, or just fleece?
There's an extra layer of wind-protectant fabric across the front, on the mouth and neck panel, over the stretchable fleece body. That front layer is what blocks wind while you're breathing through it. The thermoplastic polyurethane in the blend is the wind-blocking component.
5) Can crews launder the Klein 60132 balaclava, or is it a throwaway?
It's machine washable, so it's reusable gear for a winter season rather than disposable. Color is black throughout, which hides the grime between washes.
6) Does the Klein 60132 balaclava cover the neck far enough to tuck into a jacket?
Yes, it's built long specifically to keep the neck warm, and the flat-laid length is 17.5 inches, so there's enough material below the chin to tuck under a collar instead of leaving a gap.
7) What is the exact Klein Tools part number for the Tradesman Pro hinged balaclava?
Klein Tools 60132. It's the black, one-size Tradesman Pro Wind Proof Hinged Balaclava, a heat-retention item rather than a rated safety garment.
