1) Will the Trimco AP323 ladder pull fit a 1-3/4 inch commercial door?
Yes, and it goes well past that. Door thickness is one of the ordering options on the AP323, with 1-3/8, 1-3/4, 2, 2-1/4, 2-1/2 and 3 inch choices, so it covers the standard 1-3/4 inch commercial leaf and also the thick glass, clad and custom entrances that most stock pulls stop short of. Thickness is a separate selection from the pull length, so give both when you order.
2) The pulls on our other doors are 1 inch bar. Does the Trimco AP323 match, and what does if it does not?
The Trimco AP323 is a 1-1/4 inch diameter bar, so the grip is thicker than a 1 inch pull. For a 1 inch match, the ABH AB3300 is a straight flat end pull at 1.00 inch diameter, the Ives 8103HD is a heavy duty straight pull in 1 inch round with through bolt mounting, and the Ives 8169 is a C style offset solid pull at 1 inch diameter. Thinner still, the ABH AB7200 is a solid stainless steel flat end pull at 7/8 inch and the Ives 8102HD uses a 3/4 inch round bar.
3) What offset ladder pull from another manufacturer is closest to the Trimco AP323?
Two ABH pulls sit in the same offset territory. The ABH AB3330 is an offset round end pull offered with custom length options, and the ABH AB3310 is an offset flat end pull with surface mounting. Four choices settle the order. Size: 18, 30, 42, 60, 72, 84 or 96 inches. Finish: 313 dark bronze anodized aluminum, 335 black anodized aluminum, or 628 satin aluminum. Dark bronze anodized aluminum (313) is one of three finishes offered on the AP323, alongside black anodized aluminum (335) and satin aluminum (628). All three are anodized aluminum rather than plated, which is the same finish family used on aluminum storefront framing, so the pull tones with the door frame instead of standing off it.
7) Ladder pull or a single straight pull on an entrance door, which should I use?
A ladder pull spans a long run of the stile, 18 to 96 inches on the AP323, so there is a grip at any height. That is what you want on a tall glass or aluminum entrance used by a mix of people, including anyone coming through with a cart.
