Yes, and that is what the G-Mount option is for. The AP522 is offered in E-Mount and G-Mount, and the series supports mounting on metal, wood and glass doors. Pick G-Mount for a glass application; E-Mount is the option for wood or metal leaves, where the supplied wood and machine screws come into play.
2) What is the closest alternative to the Trimco AP522 ladder pull if I need an offset post instead of a straight standoff?
The Trimco AP522 is a 1-1/4 inch diameter architectural pull with straight standoffs and radius ends. For an offset post with a rounded end, the ABH AB3330 is an offset round end pull, and the Ives 8169 is a C style offset solid pull with a 1 inch diameter. Deltana also offers the SSPORBB24, a 24 inch back-to-back round offset pull. All three change the post geometry to offset, which moves the grip away from the door face.

The Trimco AP522 grip is 1-1/4 inch diameter. 4) Which pulls look like a substitute for the Trimco AP522 but are not?
The Cal-Royal PUL-175 is a night latch cylinder pull, 3-1/2 inch height in stainless steel - it is a cylinder pull for a rim cylinder application, not a ladder pull. The Emtek Art Nouveau, Arts and Crafts, Baden, and Brisbane pulls are 8 inch decorative door pulls, far shorter than the AP522, which runs from 12 inch to 84 inch. The Deltana OHP620 is an off-set handle pull sold as a back-to-back set for 1-1/8 inch to 1-3/8 inch doors, a thinner range than the AP522 door thickness options.
5) Is the Trimco AP522 ADA compliant?

Lengths go to 84 inches, which covers full-height glass entry and storefront leaves. The ladder run is 12, 18, 24, 36, 48, 60, 72 and 84 inches, so you can run a matched grip nearly floor to head without a custom part.
