1) What do I have to specify when ordering the Trimco AP616 ladder pull?
Five things decide the part on the AP616: center-to-center length (12, 18, 24, 36, 48, 60, 72, 84 or 96 inches), finish, mounting type (E-Mount or G-Mount), door thickness (1-3/8, 1-3/4, 2, 2-1/4, 2-1/2 or 3 inches), and the leather wrap color (black, dark brown or light brown). Handing also has to be called out, since the standoffs are offset.
2) Can the AP616 leather wrapped pull be mounted on a glass door?
Yes. The AP616 is offered in two mounting styles, E-Mount and G-Mount, and the AP600 leather wrapped ladder pulls are made with mounting options for metal, wood and glass doors. Pick the glass mount and confirm the glass thickness matches the door thickness you select.
3) Why does the AP616 need handing specified?
Because the standoffs are offset rather than straight. An offset post set leans the grip to one side of the mounting line, so a left and a right pull are not the same part. All three give the offset geometry without a leather covering.
5) What should I use instead of the Trimco AP616 if the design calls for straight standoffs rather than offset?
The AP616 is built with offset standoffs. Within Trimco's AP600 leather wrapped ladder pulls, the AP615 pairs the same 1 inch diameter and angled ends with straight standoffs. If an unwrapped straight pull is acceptable, the ABH AB3300 is a straight flat end pull handle at 1.00 inch diameter, and the Ives 8103HD is a heavy duty straight door pull, 1 inch round, with through bolt mounting.

Three choices separate them. Tube diameter: 1 inch on the AP611 through AP616, 1-1/4 inch on the AP621 through AP626, 1-1/2 inch on the AP631 through AP636. Post style: straight or offset standoffs. End style: square, radius or angled. The AP616 is the 1 inch offset-standoff pull with angled ends. Want the same look with square ends, that is the AP613; radius ends, the AP614; angled ends on straight posts, the AP615.
11) What else could I use instead of a leather wrapped Trimco pull if I just need a plain offset commercial pull?
