Metallics TTH15 – Frequently Asked Questions
1) What size rod does the Metallics TTH15 truss T-hanger take?
The TTH15 is a 3/8 inch truss T-hanger, so it pairs with 3/8-16 threaded rod for hanging conduit, strut, or fixture supports from bar joist or truss members.
2) Does the Metallics TTH15 come with a washer, or do I need to order one separately?
A square washer is included with the TTH15. The hanger is supplied as a 3/8 inch truss T-hanger with square washer, so you only need the threaded rod and whatever you are hanging off it.
3) What is a truss T-hanger actually used for on an electrical job?
It is a rod-hanging attachment for open steel framing. The T-shaped head drops through or over a truss or bar joist member and turns to bear on the steel, and the 3/8 inch threaded end takes the rod that carries conduit, cable tray hangers, strut, or lighting. It is a no-weld, no-drill way to pick up a hanging point overhead.
