98/99 Rim Exit Device – Von Duprin 98 and 99 Series Panic Hardware
Von Duprin 98 and Von Duprin 99 Series exit devices are trusted across commercial and institutional environments for their reliability, durability, and compliance with high safety standards. This includes the Von Duprin 98 Rim Exit Device and the Von Duprin 99 Rim Exit Device, both ideal for all types of single and double doors with mullion. These devices are UL listed for panic exit hardware and certified to ANSI/BHMA A156.3 2014, Grade 1.
The Von Duprin 98 Series is known for its smooth mechanism case, while the Von Duprin 99 Series features a grooved case design. Both series fall under the wide stile heavy-duty push pad category, commonly used in schools, hospitals, and government buildings. The rim device is non-handed unless specific options are applied (SD – special dogging, -2 – Double Cylinder, or SS – signal switch). These devices fit hollow metal doors with 86 or 161 cutouts and may work on pairs (consult template).
