1) Can I put a Von Duprin 35A on a wood door?
No. The 35A narrow stile rim exit device is not rated for wood doors. If your opening is a wood door, look at the Adams Rite 3700 Series or 8700 Series narrow stile rim devices, both of which are listed as wood door compatible; the 3700 is the fire rated one of the two.
2) Is the Von Duprin 35A fire rated?
No. The 35A as configured is not fire rated, so it cannot go on a labeled opening.
