Von Duprin 99 Series Exit Devices – 98/99 Series Panic Hardware
The Von Duprin 99 Series is a leading choice in panic hardware for commercial and institutional applications. The 99 Rim Exit Devices, also referred to as Von Duprin 99 exit devices, are designed for all types of single and double doors with mullions. These units are UL listed for panic exit hardware and certified to ANSI/BHMA A156.3 2014, Grade 1, ensuring reliability and durability.
The Von Duprin 99 device features a grooved mechanism case and is part of the robust 99 series exit device family. This series is commonly used in high-traffic environments like schools, hospitals, and government buildings. The rim device is non-handed, except when using options such as SD (special dogging), -2 (Double Cylinder), or SS (signal switch). It fits standard hollow metal doors with 86 or 161 cutouts, and may also be used with paired doors—see template for details.
98/99 Series
The 98/99 Series includes wide stile heavy-duty push pads. The 98 Series has a smooth mechanism case, while the 99 Series Von Duprin offers a grooved finish for a more defined architectural look. The series is trusted for its performance in demanding settings and is often specified as Von Duprin 99 series panic bar in commercial construction projects.
