1) What is the difference between the EPT10 with connectors (CON) and without?
Connectors decide how much work happens at the door. The CON version of the EPT10 ships with pre-installed connectors that mate straight to the exit device wiring harness, so there is no field termination on those leads. 3) Do I need an electric power transfer to run power to electrified exit device trim?
Any electrified hardware mounted on the door leaf itself, electrified lever trim, an electric latch retraction device, a request-to-exit switch, needs a protected path for the wire to cross from the frame into the moving door. That is the job the EPT10 does on Von Duprin 33, 35, 98 and 99 Series openings: it routes the current across the hinge point so the conductors are not exposed or flexing loose. If the powered component is in the frame instead, an electric strike for example, the power lands in the frame and no door transfer is involved.

A vertical rod device that is being electrified needs both the rod hardware and the power transfer.
9) The exit device on our stairwell door stopped latching at the top. Is an EPT10 the part I need?
No. The EPT10 is the wiring path across the hinge, carrying ten 24 AWG wires to powered hardware on the leaf, so a latch that is not throwing is a mechanical problem rather than an electrical one. The fix is the latching component for whatever device is on the door. On Accentra exit devices, for example, the top latch replacement component for 7110 and 7120 devices is 60-7010-0049-999 and the top latch replacement component for the 7110F is 60-7010-0050-999. 10) We are electrifying a pair of doors with a removable mullion. Does the mullion handle the wiring, or is a separate power transfer required?
A mullion and a power transfer solve different parts of the opening. A steel mullion such as the Falcon 4023 is for double door exit device applications, giving the rim devices a strike surface between the leaves, and mullion stabilizers such as the Falcon 525 aluminum stabilizers steady that assembly. Neither one gets current onto a moving leaf.
