Metallics M12WNK – Frequently Asked Questions
1) Will the M12WNK kit fit 1/2 inch threaded rod?
Yes. The kit is sized 1/2 inch, so the nut threads onto 1/2-13 rod, the common coarse thread size for 1/2 inch electrical and mechanical hanger rod, and the washer is sized to match.
2) What comes in the Metallics M12WNK kit?
The M12WNK is a 1/2 inch washer and nut kit, supplied as a matched pair of fastener components rather than a single loose nut. Steel with zinc plating.
3) Is the Metallics M12WNK nut and washer kit zinc plated steel or stainless?
Steel with a zinc finish, not stainless. Zinc plated steel is the standard choice for dry interior electrical work such as threaded rod hanger assemblies; for wet, corrosive, or exterior runs, specify a stainless nut and washer instead.
