Metallics JG8WW85 – Frequently Asked Questions
1) What bolt size does the Metallics JG8WW85 flat washer fit?
The JG8WW85 is a 3/4 inch USS flat washer. Its 13/16 inch inside diameter clears a 3/4 inch bolt or threaded rod with working slack, and the 2 inch outside diameter spreads the load across the surface under the nut or head.
2) Is the JG8WW85 a hardened washer suitable for high-strength bolted connections?
Yes. It's a Grade 8 washer made of hardened steel, so it belongs under high-strength bolting where a soft washer would dish or embed. Finish is zinc chromate for corrosion resistance, and it's a wrought (stamped) flat washer rather than a cast or forged type.
3) How many washers come in a jar of Metallics JG8WW85?
100 washers per jar. The jar packaging keeps them from scattering in a gang box or on a service truck, and the full jar weighs 9.035 lbs.
