Watts NH-PLENUM+-1.5-90E – Frequently Asked Questions
1) What size and connection type is the Watts NH-PLENUM+ 90 degree elbow?
It's a 1.5 inch no-hub (hubless) 90 degree elbow from the Watts Plenum+ line. No-hub means the ends are plain spigot and join with no-hub couplings rather than threads or hubs, so it drops into a 1-1/2 inch hubless drain, waste and vent run.
2) Do I need couplings to install a no-hub 1-1/2 inch elbow, or does it come with them?
The elbow is the fitting only. Hubless joints are made with no-hub shielded couplings, so plan on one coupling per joint, sized 1-1/2 inch, in addition to the elbow itself.
3) Does the Watts NH-PLENUM+-1.5-90E qualify on a Buy American job?
No. The NH-PLENUM+-1.5-90E is listed as not Buy American Act compliant, so it won't satisfy a federal or federally funded spec that requires BAA domestic sourcing.
4) What part number do I order for the 1-1/2 inch Watts Plenum+ 90 degree no hub elbow?
Order Watts MPN NH-PLENUM+-1.5-90E. That single part number covers the 1-1/2 inch, 90 degree, no-hub Plenum+ elbow; there are no finish or option variations to specify.
