1) Can I use my copper crimp ring tool on a Watts stainless Cinchclamp?
No. A Cinchclamp is a one-ear stainless clamp and it needs a cinch (pinch) clamp tool that closes the ear. Copper crimp ring jaws compress a full ring around the tube and will not set this style of clamp. Buy the clamp tool that matches cinch clamps before you start the job.
2) Are Watts Cinchclamps stainless steel or copper?
Stainless steel. The WP9S-08 08 clamp body is stainless, which is what installers look for on potable water and in-slab or below-grade runs where a copper crimp ring would be more prone to corrosion.
