Thomas & Betts WM-7 – Frequently Asked Questions
1) What legend is printed in the Thomas & Betts WM-7 wire marker book?
The WM-7 book is a single-legend book: every marker is the number 7. Each book holds 460 markers, all of them 7s. If you need a range of digits or letters, you order the separate book for each legend you want rather than getting a mixed assortment in one cover.
2) Will these wire markers hold up in a damp or oily mechanical room?
The WM-7 markers are a vinyl coated cloth tape made to resist abrasion, oil, water and dirt, so they hold in mechanical rooms, pump rooms and similar conditions rather than lifting or smearing the way paper tags do. The book cover keeps the unused cards clean between jobs.
3) How many markers and pages come in one WM-7 wire marker book?
One book carries 460 markers of the numeral 7 across 10 pages of cards, in a 3 x 5-1/2 inch pocket-size cover you can keep in a shirt pocket while you pull and tag circuits.
4) Is the WM-7 sold as a single book or only in a case?
It is sold each, so you can buy a single book. For stocking, the inner package is 10 books and the outer carton holds 240, which is the count a distributor or MRO storeroom would order against.
5) How many wire marker books do I have to buy at a time?
The order multiple on the WM-7 is 10, so quantities go up in tens of books. Worth planning for if you are standardizing a panel schedule across a building and need several legends at once, since each number is its own book.
6) Are Thomas & Betts WM-7 wire markers RoHS compliant?
Yes, the WM-7 wire marker book is RoHS compliant, which is the box institutional and government procurement usually needs ticked before a submittal goes through.
