Three configurations of the OFR47 steel device plate cover the common needs in an overfloor raceway run. OFR47-D is the duplex plate and accepts a 106 frame device. OFR47-R is the decorator plate for rectangular decorator style devices. OFR47-B is blank, used to close off a compartment where no device is being installed. All three share the same 5.5 x 2.0 x 0.13 inch steel body in black.
2) Which Wiremold OFR plate do I order for a standard duplex receptacle?
Order the OFR47-D. It is the duplex configuration and takes a 106 frame device. If you are mounting a decorator style rectangular device instead (GFCI, USB charger, data insert with a decorator opening), the OFR47-R is the one you want.
3) Do these plates fit any brand of floor raceway?
No. The OFR47 plates are built for the Wiremold Overfloor Raceway (OFR) system and mount into its compartments. They are not a generic floor box or wall plate, so if your run is a different manufacturer's overfloor product, these will not drop in.
4) What do I use to close off an empty compartment in an overfloor raceway?
The OFR47-B blank plate is made for that. It fills an unused compartment in the raceway so the opening is covered and the run looks finished, with no device cutout. Same steel plate and black finish as the duplex and decorator versions.
5) Will the OFR47 plate hold up in a high-traffic corridor or open office floor?
It is a steel plate rather than plastic, which is why it gets specified for walked-on overfloor raceway in offices, retail, schools, healthcare and light industrial spaces. The black finish keeps it inconspicuous against most commercial flooring.
