If your span is shorter or longer, you need a different length in the FBE series rather than cutting this one, since the pads are factory attached.

One-hole. The FBE1H035A1-16 terminates with a single bolt hole at each pad, so it lands on a single-bolt stud or drilled pad. If your equipment pad is NEMA two-hole drilled, a one-hole braid will rotate under torque and you want a two-hole version instead.

It's a flat, extra-flexible tin-plated copper braid jumper used to bond or connect equipment that moves, vibrates, or expands, so a rigid bus bar or solid conductor would fatigue. Typical spots are switchgear, disconnect switches, transformer bushings, and expansion joints in a bus run. The braid takes the movement while still carrying current between two bolted terminations.

Tin plating on the copper braid slows oxidation at the contact surface and holds contact resistance down over time, which matters on outdoor switchgear and damp or industrial air. It also makes the braid compatible with aluminum bus and lugs, where bare copper against aluminum invites galvanic corrosion. Use a joint compound at the bolted pads as your normal practice either way.

Flat braid and round flexible cable do different jobs. This one is flat braid, which bends easily across its thin axis and handles repeated motion and vibration better than a round stranded jumper of similar section, and it lies close to the equipment so it eats less space in a cubicle. Round flexible cable is the better pick when the movement is in several directions at once or the run has to snake around obstructions. For bus expansion joints and switch blade connections, flat braid is the conventional choice.

Sold each, one braid per unit. Bonding jumpers are usually installed in matched sets on three-phase gear, so order in multiples of the number of phases plus any ground connections you're making.
