Watts 723905 – Frequently Asked Questions
1) What pipe size does the Watts 723905 Plenum Plus no-hub coupling fit?
The 723905 is sized for 1-1/2 inch pipe. It's a no-hub coupling, so it joins two plain-end 1-1/2 inch pipe or fitting ends without threading or solvent welding.
2) What material is the Watts 723905 coupling made of?
PVDF. That's the reason this one carries the Plenum Plus name rather than being a standard rubber-and-shield no-hub band, and it's what makes it a chemical drainage coupling rather than a general DWV part.
3) Do I need to cut threads or solvent weld to install the Watts 1-1/2 inch Plenum Plus coupling?
No. It's a no-hub joint, so the pipe ends go in square-cut and plain. Nothing gets threaded, glued, or fused at the coupling itself.
4) What is the wall thickness on the Watts 723905 PVDF coupling?
0.20 inch. If you're matching it to a chemical drainage run, that wall figure is what you check against the pipe schedule your spec calls out for the 1-1/2 inch line.
