1) Does the X125M come with a cover and gasket, or do I order those separately?
Order the cover and gasket as separate items. The X125M is the malleable iron body itself, in 1-1/4 inch; Series 35 covers are sized to the body, so match the cover to a 1-1/4 inch opening when you order.
2) What material is the Thomas & Betts Series 35 conduit body made of?
Malleable iron. That makes it the right choice for rigid metal conduit and IMC runs in industrial and exterior work where a die cast or nonmetallic body would not hold up to impact.
3) Can I use the X125M with EMT?
Not directly. Series 35 malleable iron conduit bodies are threaded hubs made for threaded rigid or IMC. To bring EMT into it you would need EMT-to-threaded couplings or adapters at each hub.
4) Is the Thomas & Betts X125M the same thing as a 1-1/4 inch type C or LB body?
No. All three are Series 35 style bodies in the same 1-1/4 inch trade size, but the letter sets the geometry: C is a straight-through pull body, LB turns the run to the back, and the X in X125M gives four openings for branching. Pick by the direction your run has to go, not by the size alone.
