Metallics RB21 – Frequently Asked Questions
1) What sizes does the Metallics RB21 conduit reducing bushing connect?
The RB21 is a 1 inch to 3/4 inch reducer, so it lets you step a 1 inch opening or fitting down to 3/4 inch conduit. If your run is going the other direction, from 3/4 inch up to 1 inch, this is still the part, just installed from the larger side.
2) Can I use the RB21 reducing bushing to land 3/4 inch conduit in a 1 inch box knockout?
That is exactly what the RB21 is for. It is a 1 inch to 3/4 inch steel reducer, so it fills the oversized 1 inch opening and gives you a 3/4 inch connection point. Common fix when a box or enclosure came punched larger than the conduit you are actually running.
3) Is the Metallics RB21 reducing bushing steel or plastic?
Steel. The RB21 is a steel conduit reducing bushing, not a nylon or plastic insert, so it is the metal-to-metal option for steel conduit and steel enclosure hubs.
4) How do I order the Metallics 1 inch to 3/4 inch steel reducing bushing, and are there other options to pick?
Order it by part number RB21 from Metallics. There is one configuration, 1 inch to 3/4 inch in steel, so there is no finish or size option to specify on the order.
