Watts 0830945 1 In Iron Process Steam Pressure Regulator, Reduced Pressure Range 10 To 30 psi

Both ends of the Watts 152A, model 830945, are 1 inch female NPT threaded, inlet and outlet alike. So you thread it straight onto 1 inch male NPT nipples or male adapters on each side. No flanges, no unions supplied, so plan a union downstream if you want to pull the valve without cutting pipe.

Reduced (downstream) pressure adjusts from 10 to 30 psi. If your process needs a setpoint below 10 psi or above 30, this spring range won't hold it, and you'd need a 152A built for a different reduced pressure range. Inlet side can be as high as 200 psi (14 bar) maximum working pressure.

No on both. The 830945 ships without a gauge and without an integral strainer. For a steam PRV station that means two extra line items on the order: a Y-strainer ahead of the valve to keep scale and weld slag off the seat, and a gauge in the reduced-pressure leg so you can actually set the 10 to 30 psi adjustment. Neither is optional in practice on a process steam line.

It's a process steam pressure regulator for commercial and industrial duty, with an iron body and stainless steel trim, disc and seat materials. It has no thermal expansion bypass, which is a water-service feature, so don't substitute it into a domestic cold water PRV position expecting expansion relief.

The body is cast iron with no corrosion resistant coating applied, so the exterior will surface-rust in a wet or washdown environment unless you paint or insulate it. Internally the wetted trim, disc and strainer material are stainless steel, which is what matters for steam condensate on the seat.

Minimum rated temperature is 33 degrees F (0.5 C), effectively just above freezing. It is not intended for service below that, so an exposed rooftop or unheated crawlspace run needs heat trace and insulation to keep the valve and any condensate above the limit.
