Metallics PCC100 – Frequently Asked Questions

1) What size pipe does the Metallics PCC100 pipe cap fit?
The Metallics PCC100 is a 1 inch PVC pipe cap. It pushes into (or over) 1 inch PVC, so it is sized for 1 inch conduit or pipe ends only. For any other trade size you need a different cap in the series.
2) Is the PCC100 cap glued on or does it just push in?
It is a push-in cap, no solvent cement or threading required. That makes it a quick way to close off a stubbed 1 inch PVC run and pull it back off later when the run gets extended or terminated.
3) Can I use a 1 inch PVC push-in cap to keep debris out of stubbed-up electrical conduit?
That is the normal use. The Metallics PCC100 caps a 1 inch PVC conduit stub during construction so concrete, dirt, and water stay out of the raceway until the run is finished. It is an electrical fitting accessory, not a pressure-rated plumbing plug.
4) What is the manufacturer part number for the Metallics 1 inch PVC push-in pipe cap?
Order it as Metallics PCC100. That is the only model, and it covers the 1 inch size.
