1) Will this street elbow thread onto standard 1 inch black pipe?
It will. Threads are cut to ASME B1.20.1, the NPT standard used on ordinary black and galvanized steel pipe, so it mates with any 1 inch NPT pipe or fitting. Use pipe dope or PTFE tape on the taper as usual.
2) Is this ASC 90 degree elbow UL listed and FM approved for fire sprinkler piping?
Yes, the fitting carries UL/FM recognition, so it can be used on fire protection piping where the AHJ requires listed and approved components. It's black malleable iron, extra heavy, with 1 inch NPT threads.
3) Can I use a black malleable iron street elbow on a domestic water line?
