The JSTS21 is a Type A tapping screw with a gimlet point, so it forms its own thread in a pilot hole in sheet metal or similar thin material. It runs 12 threads per inch and is made to ASME B18.6.4 for the thread and ASME B18.6.3-2013 for the head dimensions, so a standard #10 Type A pilot chart applies. It is not a self-drilling screw, so you still drill the hole first.
