Atkore Allied Tube & Conduit RCK50KON 1/2" Threadless Rigid Compression Coupling

No threading needed. The RCK50KON is a threadless compression coupling for 1/2 inch rigid conduit, so you can join cut, unthreaded ends in the field. That saves cutting new threads when you trim a run to length.

Yes. The RCK50KON carries a neoprene gasket that makes a concrete tight seal, so it holds up where the coupling gets encased in a slab or deck pour and wet concrete would otherwise work into the joint.

That is the case it is built for. Allied calls out the RCK50KON for use where conduit runs are closely spaced, so the body stays compact enough to land between adjacent runs on a rack or strut without forcing you to spread the spacing.

Half inch trade size rigid conduit, both ends. It is a straight coupling, so it joins two pieces of 1/2 inch rigid in line. For any other trade size you need the matching part in the RCK series, not this one.

For a repair or a tie-in where the existing conduit is already installed and you cannot rotate it, the compression type is the one to use. A standard threaded coupling requires you to spin one length of pipe into it, which is impossible mid-run, and it requires threads on both ends. The RCK50KON clamps onto plain cut ends, so you can cut in and couple without disturbing the rest of the run.

It is zinc plated. That is a standard finish for interior and concrete-encased rigid work; for direct burial in corrosive soil or coastal exposure you would step up to a PVC-coated or stainless fitting instead.
