The #2 drill point on the Metallics JTEKD28 is the light-gauge point, and the published drill time reference is 2.5 seconds for a 1 mm thick plate. With only 1/2 inch of overall screw length, your fastened stack has to stay thin anyway, so think light sheet metal, strut accessories, duct, and panel-to-channel work rather than heavy structural plate. For thicker base metal you need a longer screw with a higher-numbered drill point.

It's an integral indented hex washer head, not a loose part. The formed washer runs 0.398 to 0.432 in. outside diameter with a washer thickness of 0.022 to 0.039 in., which spreads the clamp load over thin sheet and over slotted or oversized holes without adding a second piece to handle on the ladder.

Minimum torsional strength is 92 lb-in, with the screw heat treated to Rockwell C32-40 and made from AISI 1016-1024 steel.
