1) How big is the EiKO 6S6 bulb, and will it clear a tight fixture or a display case?
Small. The S6 glass measures 0.75 inches in diameter (19.10 mm) with an overall length of 1.88 inches (47.80 mm) including the base. That is roughly a thumb-sized lamp, which is why it goes into sign letters, marquee borders, appliance indicators and shallow display cases where a standard candelabra flame or torpedo lamp is too long to seat.
2) Can I put the 6S6 on a dimmer?
No. The 6S6 is rated non-dimmable, so it should be run on a straight switched 120V circuit. Putting it on a dimmer is outside its rating. If the fixture is on an existing dimmer circuit, specify a lamp rated for dimming rather than this one.
