Thomas & Betts 370AL – Frequently Asked Questions
1) Is the Thomas & Betts 370AL hub connector aluminum or steel?
Aluminum. That matters on two counts: it keeps the fitting non-ferrous for aluminum enclosures and raceway where mixing metals is a corrosion concern, and it is lighter to handle on a large rough-in. If your spec calls for a malleable iron or steel body, this is not the right fitting.
2) What is a bullet hub type connector used for on an electrical rough-in?
A bullet hub connector like the Thomas & Betts 370AL terminates a 1/2 inch conduit run into an enclosure or box knockout, giving you a threaded hub connection at the wall of the box rather than a plain locknut-and-bushing termination. Electricians reach for it where the run has to land cleanly on a box or fitting entry.
3) Is the Thomas & Betts 370AL sold individually or in a bulk pack?
The 370AL bullet hub is packaged 100 to a pack, which is how contractors and MRO buyers usually order it for a full rough-in or to stock the shop. Ordering one piece is not how this item is packed.
