Metallics AKK516 – Frequently Asked Questions
1) What size cable does the Metallics AKK516 C-style clamp take?
The AKK516 is a 13/32 inch C-style adjustable cable clamp, so the 13/32 figure is the clamp opening it closes on. If your cable or small conduit run falls outside that, you need a different size in the AKK series rather than forcing this one.
2) Is the Metallics AKK516 a cable clamp or a conduit strap?
It is an adjustable C-style cable clamp, used to grip and support a cable or small run rather than strap conduit flat to a surface. If you are fastening EMT or rigid conduit to a wall or deck, a one-hole or two-hole conduit strap in the matching trade size is the right part instead.
3) How do I order the right Metallics AKK clamp, and is AKK516 a single part number?
AKK516 is one part number, ordered as-is with no finish or size options to pick. The only variable in the AKK family is the clamp opening, and on this one that is 13/32 inch, so you specify by size when you move up or down the range.
