1) What driver bit do I need for the Metallics JFMP103 1/4-20 flat head Phillips machine screw?
A #3 Phillips bit. The recess on the JFMP103 is 0.276 inch in diameter, 0.16 inch deep, and 0.036 inch wide, so a #2 bit will cam out and chew the recess under any real torque. Stock #3 tips if you are running a jar of these with a driver.
2) Will a 1/4-20 flat head machine screw sit flush in a countersunk box or enclosure hole?
It will if the countersink is cut for a standard 82 degree flat head. The JFMP103 head measures 0.442 to 0.477 inch across and 0.131 to 0.153 inch high, built to ASME B18.6.3-1998, so it drops flush in any hole countersunk to that dimensional standard.
