Metallics CTAH14S 14 Air Handling Cbl Tie Std Ny

Yes. The CTAH14S is Metallics' air handling cable tie, meaning it is intended for bundling and supporting wire in air handling and return air plenum spaces where ordinary ties are not acceptable. Electricians use these above drop ceilings that serve as return air paths, where inspectors look for plenum-suitable tie products rather than general purpose nylon.

The CTAH14S is the 14 size in Metallics' air handling tie line, the long tie in the family, so it is the one reached for on larger multi-conductor bundles and on groups of MC or flex rather than a two or three wire tie-up. For small bundles the shorter sizes in the same CTAH series are less wasteful, since the tail on a 14 tie has to be cut off and discarded on a tight bundle.

Standard nylon. That is the "Std Ny" in the CTAH14S description, so it is an indoor, general temperature nylon tie, not a heat stabilized or UV black weather resistant version. For outdoor runs or direct sun exposure, specify a UV rated black tie instead.
