Metallics CTAH7S – Frequently Asked Questions
1) Is the CTAH7S tie suitable for use in a plenum ceiling return?
That is exactly what it is built for. Metallics designates the CTAH7S as an air handling tie, so it is intended for cable bundling in plenum and other air handling spaces rather than general open-air work only.
2) What is the Metallics CTAH7S cable tie used for?
The CTAH7S is a 7 inch standard nylon cable tie made for air handling spaces, meaning plenums and other return-air areas above ceilings or under raised floors where ordinary ties are not acceptable. Electricians use them to bundle and dress cable runs routed through those spaces.
3) Does the CTAH7S come in more than one size or color?
Only one configuration is offered under the CTAH7S part number, the 7 inch standard nylon air handling tie. If a job calls for a longer tie for bigger bundles, that is a different Metallics air handling part number, not an option on this one.
4) What part number should I give my distributor for Metallics air handling cable ties, 7 inch?
Order Metallics CTAH7S. That MPN covers the 7 inch standard nylon air handling cable tie.
